Southern Tier Page

 

The Southern Tier runs along the southern leg of Upstate New York along the boundary with Pennsylvania.  The largest cities in the region are Binghamton, located one hour south of Syracuse and three hours northwest of New York City, and Ithaca, home to Cornell University and located about one hour southwest of Syracuse and northwest of Binghamton.  Other major communities in the area include Elmira, about one hour west of Binghamton and thirty minutes southwest of Ithaca, and Corning, fifteen minutes west of Elmira and two hours southeast of Rochester.  Click below to see photos of buses in the Southern Tier.
