Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean Page
The city of Saguenay, located on the Saguenay River about two hours north of Quebec City, is the northernmost major city in the province of Quebec. It was formed in 2002 by the amalgamation of the cities of Chicoutimi, Jonquière and La Baie, along with several surrounding townships, for a total population of about 152,000 people. To the west, on the shore of Lac-Saint-Jean, are the cities of Alma and Roberval, the eastern gateway to vast expanses of northern Quebec.
