ST du Saguenay Page
The Société de
transport du Saguenay, formerly the Corporation intermunicipale
de transport du Saguenay (CITS), is responsible for bus service throughout the
city of Saguenay, formed by municipal amalgamation in 2002. The STS operates primarily in separate urban
zones for the districts of Chicoutimi, Jonquière and
La Baie, with interurban links between the communities
and to the townships of Laterrière in the south and Shipshaw and Tremblay in the north. Service for the population of about 152,000
is provided using a fleet of 80 buses, consisting of Classic and LFS buses,
much the same as most other Quebec transit systems.
