Located about one hour west of Toronto and one
hour northeast of London, the Regional Municipality of Waterloo is home to
about 478,000 people and the three largest cities in the region—Cambridge,
Kitchener and Waterloo—are all served by one transit system. Nearby are two smaller cities, each home to
its own transit agency. Guelph, the seat
of Wellington County, is located 30 minutes east of Kitchener and is home to
about 115,000 residents. Brantford, the largest
city in Brant County, has a population of 90,000 and is located about 30
minutes south of Cambridge. Despite
their proximity, however, none of the transit systems connect or allow
