4500 is a preserved PCC streetcar, built in 1951 by Canadian Car and Foundry and rebuilt by the TTC in 1989. It is one of two PCC streetcars still in the TTC fleet, along with 4549, and it is shown on Lakeshore Blvd. West in downtown Toronto on Sept. 5, 2011. |

4500 was seen again at the Exhibition Loop on Sept. 5, 2011. After the TTC retired the last of its PCC fleet in 1995, these two streetcars were kept for historic purposes. Today, they are available for charter services and are used on the Harbourfront line along Queen’s Quay and Lakeshore Blvd. on Sundays during the summer months. |
