Transit service in Trois-Rivières is provided
by the STTR, formerly known as the CIT des Forges, or simply the CITF. Service for the city of 126,000 is provided
by a fleet of 36 buses, mostly NovaBus Classic and
LFS buses. Buses meet at transfer
terminals all over the new city, which was formed by municipal amalgamation in
January 2002. In addition to the
thirteen regular routes providing service throughout the city, there are two
express routes which operate during weekday peak periods and six supplemental
routes providing service in evenings and on Sundays in place of some regular
routes.
