The Rochester region is the third-largest urban centre in New York State, with a population of 1.1 million people.  The Rochester-Genesee Regional Transportation Authority operates bus service in Monroe, Genesee, Livingston, Ontario, Orleans, Wayne and Wyoming Counties using a fleet of 350 buses.  In Rochester, the bus service is called the Regional Transit Service, and the fleet consists of Orion V, NovaBus Classic, New Flyer D40LF and D60LF, NABI 40LFW and Gillig Advantage buses.
