Niagara Region Transit began service in
September 2011, having been established to provide a public transit link
between St. Catharines, Niagara Falls, Welland, Fort Erie and Port Colbourne. Service is shared among the three city
transit systems and operates between Monday and Saturday, except for statutory
holidays. There are six routes operating
between the main cities of St. Catharines, Welland and Niagara Falls, along
with one route linking Welland to Port Colbourne, and another linking Niagara
Falls to Fort Erie. There are eight
buses in the fleet, with St. Catharines Transit providing three New Flyer
