The
County of Lackawanna Transit System serves the city of Scranton and surrounding
areas of Lackawanna County, providing transit service for a population of 213,000
from Monday to Saturday, except major holidays.
The bus fleet consists of Gillig Phantom and Advantage buses, most of
which are 35’ long, and the buses meet at a transfer point on Wyoming Avenue
near the Steamtown Mall in downtown Scranton.
Buses also travel to Pittstown in Luzerne County to allow transfers to
the LCTA, and to Mohegan Sun at Pocono Downs, also served by the LCTA.
